The employee away day at Mabali was my first experience with a company event, and I had a great time. I got a chance to get to know CEO Jafar Mustafa’s personality up close. In addition to that, I had a really good team bonding experience with our colleagues whom we knew to a certain extent. The activity that I enjoyed the most was the friendly match because I’m also a cricketer myself, and it felt great to play after a long time. Let me tell you, it was an experience I’ll never forget.
The day started off with a delicious Breakfast, where we fueled up for the exciting activities ahead. Then, we gathered for a CEO session, where Mustafa Jafar shared his insights and vision for the company. It was inspiring to hear from our leader and gain a deeper understanding of where Dynea is headed.
Next up was a Picture Scavenger Hunt, a unique twist on the classic scavenger hunt. We raced around the factory grounds, capturing photos of various items and landmarks. It was a fun and interactive way to explore our surroundings and bond with our teammates.
One of the most thrilling activities of the day was the Catapult challenge. We worked together in teams to design and build catapults, testing our engineering skills and teamwork. It was a true test of creativity and problem-solving, and the sense of accomplishment when our catapults launched successfully was unbeatable.
After a delicious Lunch, we took a break from the action to enjoy Boat rides on the picturesque Khanpur Dam. The scenery was breathtaking, with water and mountains stretching as far as the eye could see. It was a moment of tranquility and awe amidst the excitement of the day.
Back on land, we hit the cricket field for a friendly match, showcasing our sportsmanship and competitive spirit. It was a great way to unwind and have some fun with our colleagues.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Employee Fun Awards ceremony. It was a chance to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our team members. From the Creative Genius to the Networking Ninja, each award showcased the diverse talents within our company. The Awards were given out as follows; 1. Networking Ninja -Ejaz Ali, 2. Dress to Impress – Fawad Ahmad, 3. Hidden Gen – Tahir Gem, 4. Calm of the Seas – Bashir Muhammad, 5. Busy Bee – Anwar Ul Haq, 6. Stand Up Comedian – Awais Iqbal, 7. Icon of Loyalty – Tassawar Hussain.
As the day drew to a close, we gathered for Tea Time, reflecting on the memorable moments shared throughout the day. But the fun wasn’t over yet – an impromptu karaoke session broke out, with employees showcasing their hidden talents and belting out their favorite tunes. It was a fitting end to a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.
The location of the event, Mabali Island at Khanpur Dam, was truly spectacular. Surrounded by water and mountains on both sides, it provided the perfect backdrop for a day of adventure and relaxation. I left the Employee Away Day feeling grateful for the opportunity to connect with my colleagues and create lasting memories in such a beautiful setting.
